Guardian Life Increases Blue Run Sponsorship to J$5 Million

Guardian Life Limited, through the Guardian Group Foundation, has increased its title sponsorship of the 2026 Blue Run 5K to J$5 million, reaffirming its commitment to prostate cancer awareness and men’s health in Jamaica.

The event returns for its fourth staging on Sunday, 20 September 2026, at Emancipation Park in New Kingston, bringing together runners, walkers and families in support of a cause that affects thousands of Jamaican men.

At the official launch on 19 August, race organisers presented J$4 million raised from the record-breaking 2025 event to the Urology Department at the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI). Proceeds from this year’s staging will benefit the Jamaica Cancer Society, supporting prostate cancer awareness, community outreach and early detection initiatives.

“We believe supporting better health goes beyond providing insurance coverage. It also means encouraging people to take proactive steps to protect their wellbeing,” said Oneil Clarke, Vice President – Life, Health and Pensions Sales at Guardian Life Limited.

“Through our continued partnership and increased J$5 million commitment to the Blue Run, we want to encourage more men to prioritise their prostate health, get screened and have conversations that can save lives.”

The 2026 Blue Run will feature a 5K route through New Kingston, a family-friendly atmosphere and a new anthem designed to engage younger audiences in the conversation around men’s health.

As Prostate Cancer Awareness Month approaches, Guardian Life encourages Jamaicans to join the movement, support the cause and remind the men in their lives that proactive health care is an important part of protecting their future.
